Simply put, your blog a Content Management System often called a (CMS), which allows you to create content rich websites, requiring little technical skill. CMS manages all your content, text, photos, music, video, documents, so you don’t have to.

For me it’s a no brainer, I’d be setting up WordPress everyday of the week. Because, it easy to use and open source, Which means it has a large community who use this platform, and since it open source, you’ll find 1000’s of plugins and themes.

Now When I’m talking WordPress, I mean you should get a domain name and host it on a web server. You see WordPress will also host a form of WordPress on their Servers, it Ok, you just don’t get all the functionality.

You use WordPress straight out of the box, and it will do the job. Once you start, if you add the right plugins, its like putting your Blog on Steroids.

I have a couple of Joomla sites and it’s just hard work. Drupal even harder to use and customise. I have a friend who swears by movable type, but you just can’t crank it up, because it simply doesn’t have the plugins to give it the firepower.

Because WordPress are dynamic content sites, they get a lot Google juice. Google loves them.

If you can type a letter in word, then you create your own posts (articles) in WordPress.
